History of Timekeeping

A power point presentation on the history of timekeeping from ancient times to the present. This is a fun, interactive talk geared toward school-age children including topics of types of clocks, how clocks affect our everyday lives, the nature of time, and extreme clocks. The children will assist in making a clepsydra (water clock) and conduct an experiment to see what happens when the components are manipulated. Students really have fun with this! Presentation is about 1 hour.

In this power point presentation, Steve covers all the adjustments that may need to be made to all of the most common types of clocks. This includes floor clock, wall and mantel clocks, and cuckoos.
